How to Name a Gift

The following are guidelines that will provide a framework for naming opportunities at The University of West Alabama. As department needs vary and donors' interests differ, more specific definitions can be defined through the UWA Office of Institutional Advancement.

Plans for seeking gifts are coordinated with the Vice President for Institutional Advancement in consultation with the President of The University of West Alabama. Proposals for naming facilities, colleges, scholarships, etc. must be approved by The University of West Alabama Foundation Board of Directors and by The University of West Alabama Board of Trustees.
